Catálogo de exhibición especial del Museo Popol Vuh, Universidad Francisco
Marroquín. Aprovechando el enorme acervo de objetos que resguarda el museo,
esta muestra se enfoca en las representaciones de fauna en la cosmovisión
mesoamericana. Para los pueblos prehispánicos los animales fueron muy
importantes y se les atribuían poderes sobrenaturales.
Camilo A. Luin es arqueólogo y epigrafista. Su área de investigación se centra en la
iconografía y la escritura jeroglífica maya, temas que ha desarrollado a
profundidad en numerosas publicaciones académicas. Actualmente es curador del
Museo Popol Vuh de la Universidad Francisco Marroquín, organizador del
Seminario Internacional de Epigrafía Maya en Guatemala y participa activamente
como investigador en el Proyecto Atlas Epigráfico de Petén de la Universidad
Estatal Rusa de Humanidades.
